for woodworking technology.
Other AWFS Fair features include an area dedicated
to plastics technology, a showcase of Industry 4.0 technology, first-time exhibitor showcase, Maker Lounge,
the Stage for live presentations and demonstrations,
Fresh Wood student woodworking competition and
Woodwork Career Alliance skill evaluator training.
Sometimes exhibitors are interested in selling a
machine displayed on the exhibit floor rather than
shipping it back to their main office. This is more
common than you might think. We’ve heard of good
deals being had. It doesn’t hurt to ask.
Include someone from your team who has never
been to the show before. They’ll probably welcome
the opportunity to travel, and their experience can
give others a fresh perspective.
On July 18, the day before the show starts, there
will be all-day symposiums covering closets and home
organization, finishing, and the Woodworking Net-
work Leadership Forum. Go to woodworkingnetwork.
com for more information.
Wear comfortable shoes and comfortable clothes.
Also, you’ll be with thousands of other woodworkers,
so say hello to the person next to you. You might have
a lot in common.
You can fly in and take a taxi directly to the Las
Vegas Convention Center, which is located east of the
Las Vegas Blvd. strip. There are a number of hotels
within walking distance of the convention center.
Many of the strip hotels are linked to the convention
center via the Las Vegas Monorail.
Consult our show coverage in this special pre-show planner, go to woodworkingnetwork.com for
more updates, or direct to awfsfair.org. There’s more
information online than ever before to help you plan
your visit. ;
