AWFS Fair doubles down on its long-term commitment to education for 2017, with new April 18
pre-show education events, high profile industry
speakers, and 54 sessions during the run of the
show, July 19-22. This includes technology-focused
topics like the SMART! Seminars, plus business
building programs on plastics manufacturing,
lean production, and finishing.
AWFS Education & Conference Director Adria
Torrez, who succeeded the redoubtable Nancy Fis-
ter in that role this year, has launched entire new
seminar tracks for the 2017 edition of the show,
added to what was already an extensive CW WK
(short for College of Woodworking Knowledge)
“We’ve expanded the CW WK program to
respond to the current needs and interests of our
industry,” Torrez says.
This also includes an entirely new pre-show
educational program, presented on Tuesday, July
18. Woodworking Network was invited by AWFS
Fair to produce a Finishing Symposium, a Closets
Symposium, and the top-management focused
Re-energized College of Woodworking Knowledge features day-long pre-
show events, and sessions for managers, makers and technology users.
The Las Vegas Convention Center welcomes AWFS Fair July 19-22, starting with three pre-show conferences July 18.
