The place for professional woodworkers to be
Top companies show their latest products at America’s largest woodworking trade show.
The International Woodwork- ing Fair returns in 2018 to carry on its tradition of being one of the top woodworking trade shows in the world.
The show is the largest North American trade event for the woodworking
industry – featuring more than 1,000
exhibitors. IWF will take place August
22-25, 2018 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Held every other year, IWF attracts
professionals from all over the globe.
They see the latest woodworking machinery on the massive show floor, learn
about technology & best practices at
educational seminars, and network with
other industry professionals.
Over four days, attendees will see raw
materials, supplies, finishing accesso-
ries, material processing, CNC ma-
chinery, hardware, software, and more.
Educational seminars, manufacturing
seminars, and all-day symposia will all be
The seminars are brief, ranging from
an hour to an hour and a half long, and
are held throughout each day of the
show. Topics covered include business
management, furniture, upholstery,
manufacturing, and marketing.
Symposia, held the day before the
show begins, are dedicated to closets,
CNC manufacturing, countertop &
surfaces, digital printing, business
expansion, finishing, powder coating,
lean manufacturing, engineered wood
products, wood flooring, and Woodworking Network’s Leadership Forum.
The 2016 show marked the third
onsecutive show with growth – drawing
1,080 exhibitors and more than 27,000
in attendance to see 532,565 square feet
of exhibit space. Of those exhibitors,
240 were first-timers. Visitors from more
than 90 foreign countries and 49 states
were among the attendees. Show managers said the educational conference was
the largest ever held at IWF, with more
than 50 educational programs.
The prestigious Challengers Awards
are also a major interest each show, showcasing the newest cutting-edge woodworking related products. Bacci, Biesse,
Giben, Fastenlink, Holz-Her, LMT
Onsrud, and Salice were among the winning companies two years ago.
The event will once again feature the
renowned and respected Design Emphasis Student Design competition, in which
students are given the opportunity to
show off their design talents in front of a
panel of industry-veteran judges.
